Memory Lane Cruisers of
Clarksville is a car club organized in 1994 for the sole purpose of
its members, who have a common interest in classic cars, street
rods, muscle cars, classic trucks and other special interest
vehicles. Club members create and promote good fellowship among all
members of Memory Lane, as well as others having the same interest.
We strive to be a good citizen with the community.
Monthly
Club Business Meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the
Wyatt Johnson's Toyota dealership located at 2595 Wilma Rudolph
Blvd in Clarksville. All members are encouraged to attend and
participate in the business side of the club. The club was formed
for the members and by the members. Meeting times: 6:30pm to 7:45pm.
Afterwards, many members will drive to a local restaurant to eat and
socialize.
We don't host weekly events, as
we know our members enjoy other events in the region. Club
Activities change every week, depending on what's going on in Middle
Tennessee. Some of the members may travel long distances to car
shows, swap meets or cruise-in's, while others remain close to home
and attends local car shows, swap meets, etc. However, each month,
on the Sunday following our monthly business meeting, club members
will decide upon a unique destination, such as a restaurant, museum
or other interesting sites and will convoy in our classic vehicle.
We call these "Rod Runs".
Monthly
Cruise Nights hosted by Memory Lane are on the 1st Saturday night of
each month at the Hampton Plaza shopping center parking lot, between
Red Lobster and Cook-Out on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. The Cruise in starts
at 5:00pm - 9:00pm.
Normally, our cruise night attracts around 100 vehicles, depending on
the weather. Then on the other Saturday nights, Memory Lane members
travel to other cruise-in's and enjoy visiting with friends and
seeing different vehicles. Check the web page titled
"Car Show Listings" and Cruise-In Listings for other events in the area.
Memory Lane's annual Car Show is called "Autumn Run" as it is
planned in September or October. The event is our major fund raiser
during the year, and most of the proceeds are donated to local
charities, such as the Fisher House at Ft. Campbell, Ronald McDonald
House, Shop with a Cop program, Adopt a Family at Christmas, Loaves
& Fishes, Manna Cafe, Clarksville Humane Society and other
Clarksville area charities, Clarksville School System, Gary Sinise
Foundation and others. Over the past 10 years, we have donated over
$25,000 to local charities.
Club
membership is open to anyone who would like to join. The annual
membership fee is $25.00. A membership is a family membership
including spouse, significant other, and children 18 years or under
sharing the same residence.
